An Eczema cure for your baby can be a real Godsend. A baby with Eczema is not a happy baby, and no one likes to see their little guy or girl suffer. I’ve put together some tips here that will hopefully help you get some relief for poor baby.
Rethink your clothing/bedding ideas-
While it may not be thought of as a complete Eczema cure, baby will sure be grateful if you can get rid of any irritants etc in their clothing or bedding. You want to make sure that all clothing and bedding is cleaned very frequently-the longer things are between washes, the more bacteria can build up, and these bacteria can lead to a build up of irritation on babies skin, which will in turn lead to increased Eczema symptoms. Make sure that all clothing and bedding is 100% cotton, and above all very soft. Also, be sure that when you clean the clothing and bedding, you only use detergents etc that are unscented and free from all perfumes etc.
Bathe-
The most common Eczema cure for baby is just regular bathing. It’s suggested that you bathe baby once every day, and if you can, even twice. The water needs to be just right, around 85 degrees is usually perfect-anything too warm can irritate the Eczema areas, and obviously anything too cold is not good for baby.
Moisturise baby-
It’s well known that in any Eczema sufferer, the more moisture in the skin, the less prone the skin is to itching etc. This is equally true for babies, maybe even more so-the tricky part of Eczema in infants, is the fact that the condition is truly worsened when the sufferer is experiencing stress-and as a baby has no way of knowing why the itching is happening, it will just get more and more stressed and irritable, which in turn will only increase the itching etc. It’s truly a vicious circle. Moisturise baby directly after bathing, after you have dried them by giving them a gentle pat down with a very very soft towel. Obviously use an unscented moisturizer intended for infants, and it can also be a good idea to apply the moisturizer while baby is not quite dry from the bathing-the intention being that the moisturizer will lock some of the moisture into baby’s skin.
Eczema cures for babies can be a little thin on the ground, so if you have an infant who is a sufferer, you have my deepest sympathy. I truly hope that some of these tips are useful for you, and you may find some more guidance from the links below.
